The INVISTA Apparel & Advanced Textiles stand was a centre of attention. The display and market support emphasis was on ready-to-wear, intimate apparel and leggings, but the technical discussions were wide-ranging: over 100 visitors took time out to discuss the differentiating benefits of LYCRA® fiber, COOLMAX® fabrics and THERMOLITE® fabrics.
Their keen interest in innovative technology platforms such as BLACK technology, EASY SET technology, ACTIVE technology and T400® technology by LYCRA® brand reflected the growing determination of the regional industry to secure a bigger share of the global marketplace for high value fabrics.
The discussions led to INVISTA undertaking value-in-use studies with mills – in effect, specific cost/benefit analyses of the advantages of upgrading from generic products.
The Mumbai event was also an opportunity for the marketing side of the industry to take a closer look at the LYCRA® MOVES YOU™ campaign and discuss how the consumer strength of the LYCRA® brand and INVISTA’s performance fabric brands can help grow customer businesses.
