For three days in February, the English winter was on hold. MODA attracted designers, brands and retail buyers from far and wide to the UK National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham for a glittering fashion extravaganza that ranks among Europe’s foremost. They came in their thousands to browse garment collections, watch catwalk action, and take part in topical debates and business seminars.
With the products of 1,450 exhibitors on display, there was something for everyone, from menswear and womenswear to footwear and accessories. But at the heart of the event was an international who’s who of intimate apparel and swimwear brands, including Berlei, Calvin Klein, Chantelle, Fantasie, Freya, Gossard, Lejaby, Miraclesuit, Panache, Spanx and Triumph International.
The INVISTA Apparel & Advanced Textiles stand showcased many of their garments and the LYCRA® brand featured prominently on many of the stands of partners in these segments. In fact, LYCRA® brand was everywhere, from spectacular signage in the main concourse of the NEC and 60 meter display banners at entry points to the lingerie and swimwear halls, to literally dozens of video, print and digital branding formats.
Trade reaction to this winter’s MODA has been very positive – the quality of visitors, the quality of products, the quality of presentations, and the quality of the LYCRA® brand presence were all highly rated.
