Performance Days saw the trade launch of the new LYCRA® SPORT platform, providing the latest consumer insights driving new standards and the next generation of performance fabrics. Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, Director, EMEA Activewear and Outdoor Apparel demonstrated the Power, Comfort and Energy indices for compression and shaping fabrics during the Comfort, Power and Energy – The new performance story workshop.
This new technology approach is an evolution of the former LYCRA® SPORT fabric platform offering new solutions to consumer needs. Scientifically engineered to deliver exceptional comfort, fit and support to activewear fabrics, the new LYCRA® SPORT platform combines the proven stretch technology of LYCRA® fibre with demanding testing standards that measure fabric performance descriptors on a simplified 1-10 scale of three indices. The re-launch will help brands, retailers and mills facilitate and improve their ability to make better garments by choosing the ideal fabrics.
Workshops also offered the latest insights and innovations around cooling and warmth insulation technologies, as well as insights into the athleisure phenomenon.
COOLMAX® - Ultimate Cooling in Performance Fabrics looked at the latest insights and innovations delivering what consumers are really looking for in activewear – breathability, lightweight and lasting fit.
Athleisure – Everyday, Sporty and Comfortable asked the question; what is athleisure apparel, who is the athleisure customer and what is she looking for?
THERMOLITE® - Adaptive Warmth outlined new consumer insights and innovations in lightweight warmth insulation technologies.
