Simone Pérèle has always been committed to providing women with the support they need and the comfort they want. The brand launched its first bra that used stretch lace made with LYCRA® fibre in the 1960s, an era that featured the much-envied curves of Brigitte Bardot at the peak of her fame. Named Solemio, the bra provided the comfort, fit and ease of movement that LYCRA® fibre is still know for today.
Since then, Simone Pérèle has continued to work with the LYCRA® brand to take advantage of its technical advances. Nearly seventy years after its first historic bra, Simone Pérèle is still a leading innovator in the fine lingerie category. Most recently it has selected LYCRA® BEAUTY fibre for use in its shaping lingerie. Always at the forefront of adopting cutting-edge technologies, the brand also uses LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fibre in its swimwear lines.
In 2017, Mathieu Grodner-Pérèle and Stéphanie Pérèle will be the third generation of the family to head the business. They will continue to lead the global expansion of the brand, which sells 3.5 million pieces each year, and has 1,600 employees. An own-brand store, online shop, and brand platform are upcoming milestones in their so-called Cap 2019 strategy.
