This year LYCRA® brand was particularly proud to be involved in this fantastic event as it celebrates its 60th anniversary, and 60 years of game-changing innovation that has helped to shape and support some of the best designs in lingerie, underwear and swimwear.
Many of the almost 150 brands on display at the event featured LYCRA® fiber and fabrics technologies and visitors were also able to take a closer look at some of these at the very entrance of the event, where a dedicated display showcased: LYCRA® fiber, LYCRA® SPORT, LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ fiber and LYCRA® BEAUTY fiber.
In the lingerie and underwear section of the show, visitors could see a plethora of new brands, but also established names such as Freya Active and trusted Triumph, both cleverly incorporating LYCRA® technology into some of their ranges to further boost consumer trust in their products. It was fantastic to see new lines from some of the biggest global players in the everyday underwear section at the show. Acclaimed brands, Jockey and Sloggi, incorporate LYCRA® fiber technology in many of their ranges to help influence the purchasing decision in this challenging category.
As for the swimwear ranges, many designs were focussed on combining style and functionality. Most consumers would expect their swimwear to last at least one full season*. LYCRA® XTRA LIFE™ responds to this consumer expectation as it promises to last 10 times longer than similar competitor products. It was great to see a host of brands at the event that incorporate this technology into some of their ranges, including popular brands, Freya and Fantasie, innovative Curvy Kate and stylish poolside favourite, David Swimwear. The show floor was also be filled with iconic brands showing their latest collections including Gottex, Elomi, Maryan Beachwear, Seaspray, Banana Moon and many more, all opting for the benefits of fabrics with quality ingredients.
LYCRA® brand supported the INDX Intimate Apparel SS19 event in several ways this year, including sponsorship of the event’s all-important coffee plaza (in the centre of the hall) as well as the INDX networking reception on the first evening on Sunday 5 August. The coffee plaza was the ideal spot for visitors to take a break, catch up with colleagues and keep an eye on emails. The highly recognisable LYCRA® branding helped the coffee plaza to stand out and made it an easy place to meet potential new business prospects.
The networking event proved to be exceptionally popular this year and was testimony to just how important the INDX show is to the industry. Buzzing with buyers, retailers, industry experts and representatives from the exhibitor brand, visitors and exhibitors could mingle, and exchange views on the latest industry trends, ideas and news. It made for a fantastic end to the first day of the show and a great start for what turned out to be a very popular and very inspiring INDX Intimate Apparel event.
