Ingredient and Supply Chain Transparency

A Material Health Certificate is awarded to products that meet the Material Health requirements of the multi-attribute Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Product Standard. The certificate is valid for two years and helps manufacturers verify their progress towards chemically optimized products by:

• Increasing transparency around the chemicals used in their products and supply chains
• Avoiding chemicals of concern and shifting to safer chemicals, and
• Committing to continuously greener chemistry.

By specifying LYCRA® 166L fiber in their woven fabrics, customers can be assured of transparency about the product’s ingredients and suppliers as well as The LYCRA Company’s commitment to continuously improving the sustainability profile of its products. The fiber is produced at the company’s plants in China, Singapore, and Northern Ireland and is widely available for use in stretch denim and woven fabrics.

EcoMade Technologies on Display

LYCRA® 166L fiber can be combined with the company’s EcoMade technologies to create unique sustainable offerings. LYCRA® T400® EcoMade technology and COOLMAX® EcoMade technology will also be on display at Kingpins. These products are made partly from recycled materials and offer the same performance benefits as their standard counterparts. Styles with new COOLMAX® Natural Touch™ technology, which uses a patented composite yarn structure to bring sustainability, cool comfort and a soft, authentic aesthetic to denim, will also be featured.
