The series, which launched this month in Europe and rolls out across Asia in June, features LYCRA® FitSense™ technology, which is applied in liquid form and screen-printed onto ultra-thin, mesh fabric for a combination of functionality and style. The innovative technology provides precise zones of support on the edges and wing areas of the bra cup for maximum comfort and smoothing, as well as on high coverage matching high waist panty with medium shaping level for a sleek silhouette.
“One beautiful benefit of this technology is that it gives apparel makers the ability to print refined designs to create an intentional aesthetic – like the nice lacelike patterns featured in the Triumph line – as well as apply the polymer dispersion in places designed not to show, like black-on-black applications or on the inner side of fabric,” said Arnaud Ruffin, Director Brands and Retail Europe, The LYCRA Company.
LYCRA® FitSense™ technology supports growing demand for less-structured bras offering lighter, more discreet support without wires or clasps. “LYCRA® FitSense™ helps lingerie and shapewear designers add the right amount of support and lift exactly where’s it’s needed, with no added panels or seams”, Ruffin said.
As Ruffin notes, the technology presents innovation opportunities across a range of apparel categories – from intimates, to compression sportswear, to men’s underwear.
Innovation and a commitment to consumer-centric differentiation are hallmarks of the Triumph brand, which was among the first to adopt LYCRA® BEAUTY shaping fabric, a breakthrough combination of compression and comfort, when it launched a decade ago.
“Triumph has always been open to try new innovations in the LYCRA® portfolio,” Ruffin said. “We couldn’t be happier to have them with us on the very exciting LYCRA® FitSense™ journey.”
