On May 16, The LYCRA Company opened its brand new, state-of-the-art research & Development (R&D) lab in Nanhai, China. The Advanced Textile Innovation Center (ATIC) represents a significant increase in the U.S.-based firm’s global R&D capabilities and demonstrates its commitment to providing exceptional service to its customers in Asia. The lab will help mills, brands and retailers, as well as Western-based companies with local sourcing offices, accelerate the development of innovative garment solutions that meet apparel market needs and add value to customer’s products.

Tejidos Royo, an international fabric provider based in Spain and present in more than 30 countries, has launched FASHILITY, a 14-piece capsule collection of woven trousers, jackets and skirts for men and women featuring premium LYCRA® brand technologies. The collection takes its name from its stylish and contemporary union of Fashion + Utility. The LYCRA Company teamed up with Tejidos Royo to showcase the versatility of its fabrics and the benefits of using LYCRA® fiber solutions to deliver performance benefits that will drive downstream sales.
Each year in January, people representing every part of the textile chain gather in Colombia for COLOMBIATEX, which is the place where brands begin their distribution journey in Latin America. Inside the main entrance, the LYCRA® brand booth greeted 500 exhibitors, 400 journalists, 26,000 visitors and 9,200 buyers as they entered the show.
