VERIFICATION OF RECYCLED CONTENT
Our EcoMade family of recycled products is GRS certified. The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, labeling, and chemicals used in the processing of GRS products. To help you and your customers make informed decisions, GRS provides assurance that materials in the final product are recycled and processed more sustainably. Contact us for more information and the verification tool to support your order and shipment. For a complete listing of the fibers which have been certified to the GRS, please consult the GRS Scope certificate.Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®
The Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® is a world-renowned certification. LYCRA® fibers for apparel made at all five of our manufacturing sites around the world have achieved Standard 100, Level 1, Appendix 6 certification. In addition, LYCRA® T400®, COOLMAX® and THERMOLITE® fibers have also been certified. This means the fibers have been tested and certified to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances, and are therefore harmless in human ecological terms. The Appendix 6 certification is also compatible with the industry’s Detox campaign and meets the requirements for yarns to be used for baby clothing – the highest level of approval.Material Health Certification
A Material Health Certificate is granted to products that meet the Material Health requirements of the multi-attribute Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Product Standard. The certificate is valid for two years and helps manufacturers verify their progress towards chemically optimized products by:
- Increasing transparency around the chemicals used in their products and supply chains
- Avoiding chemicals of concern and shifting to safer chemicals, and
- Committing to continuously greener chemistry.
LYCRA® fiber Type 166L has earned a Gold Level Material Health certificate.
